Watermark Maker (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Watermark Maker mobile application (the “App”).
On-Device Processing
All photo and video processing happens entirely on your device. Your images and videos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server for processing. Watermarking, batch processing, logo placement, and all other editing operations are performed locally using your device's hardware. When you uninstall the App, all locally stored data — including your watermark templates, presets, and preferences — is removed from your device.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide and improve the App:
- Device Permissions: The App requests access to your photo library and camera so you can select or capture images to watermark. These permissions are only used when you actively choose to pick or take a photo. We never access your files in the background.
- Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as which features are used most often, session duration, app stability, and crash reports. This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve the App experience.
- Advertising Data:For users on the free tier, we display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your Advertising ID) and general usage data to serve relevant advertisements. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device's privacy settings.
- Subscription Data: If you subscribe to Premium, your purchase is processed and managed by RevenueCat, which communicates with the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on our behalf. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (active, expired, etc.) but we do not receive or store your payment details such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. All payment processing is handled by Apple or Google.
How We Use Information
- To provide watermarking features including text, logo, QR code, Shot On stamp, PDF, and batch processing capabilities.
- To verify your Premium subscription status and unlock paid features.
- To monitor app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve stability.
- To understand which features are most used so we can prioritize development efforts.
- To display advertisements to free-tier users.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — payment processing for Premium subscriptions.
Data Storage & Security
Since all image and video processing happens on your device, your media files never leave your phone. Watermark templates, preferences, and saved presets are stored locally on your device. Analytics and advertising data collected by third-party services is stored on their respective servers in accordance with their privacy policies. We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we do handle, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your Choices
- Ad personalization:You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's ad tracking settings (Settings → Privacy on iOS, or Settings → Google → Ads on Android).
- Analytics: You can limit analytics data collection by disabling usage data sharing in your device settings.
- Permissions:You can revoke camera or photo library access at any time through your device's settings.
- Delete data: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.
Children's Privacy
Watermark Maker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
